This morning I was making my lunch for work and I just put it in a Target bag I had lying around. (Target bags are the best because they are large and sturdy.) This routine got me thinking about grade school and the lunch bag dilemma. I don't know if this was just my school or if it was all in my head but there were definitely do's and do not's as far as lunch bags were concerned.
The rules were as follows:
Only paper lunch sacks and lunch pails were acceptable.
Never use a plastic grocery bag.
Never, never use a large paper grocery bag.
There was one boy who always used left over bread bags for his lunch sack. This was social suicide.
Oh, the politics of elementary school.
